At Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd. we recognize our responsibility and are committed to providing a healthy & safe work environment. Our ultimate goal is to help protect all personnel, property, our customers and the public from accidents, loss and long term illness. Through in-house and external training of personnel at all levels we promote the recognition of accountability to the Alberta  OH&S Safety Codes Act and Regulations.  We hold a Partnerships Certificate of Recognition through the Manufacturer's Health and Safety Association and Alberta Human Resources and Employment. The Certificate of Recognition (COR) indicates that Mar-Quinn Industry has developed and implemented a workplace health and safety management system in accordance with industry standardized guidelines. The Certificate of Recognition (COR) is issued and maintained through an independent  auditing of the Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd. Health and safety system to verify compliance with the latest Safety Code Act and Regulations.

In today's industrial marketplace, well trained and safety minded workers are a very important and valued commodity. At Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd.  the training begins as soon as possible to share the safety mindset, which is done through our Safety Orientation. At Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd. all management, employees and contractors must complete our safety orientation to familiarize themselves with our health & safety policies, rules, and safe work practices & procedures.
Safety Training at Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd. includes WHMIS, (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System), Overhead Crane, Forklift and RPE. Hazard Assessment Analysis, Safety Basics, First Aid, and Leadership in Safety Excellence are some of the many courses deemed necessary and beneficial for management and employees to participate in. By having everyone at Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd. knowledgeable in all aspects of the safety program the worker's philosophy and character becomes in tune with the safety goals we strive for on a daily basis.
Our Health and Safety Committee meets once a month and is made up of an equal representation of management and employees. The Safety Committee has many responsibilities including reviewing company safety statistics, addressing safety concerns and ensuring all areas of the safety program are keeping in tune with the work force and the latest legislation. Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd. also recognizes the need to preserve our environment and therefore utilizes services to manage hazardous waste materials in a safe and responsible manner.
All data is kept on hand for review to ensure a continuous record of our safety history.
